In the summer of 2019 Oklahoma State University adopted Canvas as our new Learning Management System and I was tasked with developing a library of short, effective, and highly targeted videos to deliver just-in-time instruction for faculty. These videos were recorded, edited, and produced entirely by me over several months using off-the-shelf computer hardware and software as a way of modeling the type of production environment that anyone can easily implement. Our archive of Canvas videos quickly became an indispensable resource for faculty as they learned to effectively use the new LMS platform to deliver their courses.
As faculty have grown accustomed to the Canvas LMS I have continued to expand our archive which has now grown to over 150 short, targeted videos. I continue to add new content as Canvas improves the features it has, and faculty rely on these videos regularly to learn new ways of using Canvas or refresh their memory when setting up new courses.
